At the commemorative ceremony to celebrate this milestone, the representatives of the member companies of the industry association chose to present the highest quality folding fans made from the authentic Oshima Tsumugi "Natsu Oshima" as a commemorative gift.
Summer Oshima fans, suitable for formal occasions
This folding fan is made from the rare "Summer Oshima Tsumugi," a type of "Authentic Oshima Tsumugi" that is one of Japan's finest silk fabrics and a traditional craft designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry .
This fabric, born from the rich climate of Amami Oshima, is woven with 100% silk threads that are more tightly twisted than regular Oshima Tsumugi, and is characterized by its unique transparency and crispness. The deep Chitose green color, reminiscent of pine needles, gives a sense of calm and dignity. The ribs are painted with a matte finish, which gives it a pleasant feel and a sense of luxury that is both visually calming.
It has a texture that feels like a cool breeze, yet its appearance is dignified and elegant, making it an exquisite piece suitable for occasions where formality is required.
Unique hand-drawn name engraving
For the name engraving commemorating the 50th anniversary, we proposed a gold lettering color that blends in with the deep brown of the ribs while also complementing the calm Chitose green of the fan surface. We engraved the organization name on the right rib and "Congratulations on the 50th anniversary" on the left rib.
Additionally, the cloth-lined high-quality paulownia wood box that holds the fan and fan case is also personalized to ensure originality as a keepsake.
The warmth and elegance of hand-drawn art cannot be expressed by machine engraving, and the craftsman's skill with the brush is highlighted in the finished product.
